'Why Do You Have To Move Abroad? Can't You Just Go On Holiday?!'
An old friend once asked me that very question, she had never been travelling nor wished to, she was happy to splurge on an exotic destination and lie on a beach for a week.
We too have been on beach holidays and loved it, but once you get the travel bug and realise that the world is there to be explored then a week long beach holiday just might not cut it. Holidays are exactly what it says on the tin, its a vacation a time away from work and the stresses of home. Travelling is exploring cultures, people, places, lifestyles, ways of life and moving abroad on a working holiday visa like we done for Australia and New Zealand is a new way of life- not always too dissimilar to your old life at home, yes we got jobs, apartments, bought the groceries, cooked home-made meals, but we lived, we soaked up life in a different country, we became locals, we grew.
A holiday is a memory to be treasured, travelling is a life experience.
